WOMEN'S
INTERESTS — FULL-TIME EQUIVALENTS
666. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
minister representing the Minister for Women's Interests:
How many full-time equivalent employees are allocated to
policy work on women's interests?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice of the question. The
Department of Local Government and Communities is taking a new approach to
achieving outcomes in the women's interests portfolio. As a result, it
is difficult to disaggregate the number of FTEs allocated to women's
policy. Staff across the department work on projects that emerge from, or are
strategically linked to, women's policy. This includes policy advice,
grants programs, information services, events management and community
relations, in addition to support from corporate and business services,
corporate executive and administrative staff. The focus is on achieving
outcomes in the women's interests portfolio. Resources are allocated as
required.
