The Western Australia Police Force advise that there have been one thousand five hundred and sixty six callouts in the Shire of Capel between July 2016 and June 2017, consisting of four priority one callouts, one hundred and seventy four priority two callouts, and one thousand three hundred and eighty eight priority three callouts. The number and type of offences represented in the Shire of Capel between July 2016 and June 2017 include one hundred and seventy five offences against the person, six hundred and ninety nine offences against property, two hundred and six drug related offences, and sixty other offences. Of the offences against the person, one was a homicide, seventeen were recent sexual assaults, twelve were historic sexual assaults, seventy were domestic assaults, forty seven were non-domestic assaults, twenty three were threatening behaviour, two were deprivation of liberty, one related to robbery of a business, and two were robberies unrelated to business. Of the offences against property, one hundred and twelve related to dwelling burglaries, fifty to non-dwelling burglaries, thirty to motor vehicle thefts, three hundred and fifty nine to theft, six to arson, and one hundred and forty two to property damage. Amongst the drug related offences are nineteen charges of trafficking, one hundred and sixty eight charges of possession, and nineteen charges to receiving and illegal use. For the other offences, twenty five related to fraud, eight to graffiti, and twenty seven to breaches of restraining order.
