Given that the Minister has stated on numerous occasions that he is concerned for problem gamblers and research suggests that increased access to gambling opportunities poses the greatest risk to those who fail to control their gambling behaviours, I ask -
(1) Did the Minister or any other Minister make any representation to the Lotteries Commission in an attempt to try to stop it recently increasing its range of “Lotto” products by 40% to include two new weekly draws?
(2) If so, please provide details of those efforts.
