(1) How much
funding has the government provided to date to facilitate the Vue Group
locating itself in Bunbury and the establishment of the Australian Centre for
Digital Innovation?
(2) How many
animation jobs have been created in Bunbury for Bunbury residents as a result
of the establishment of the Australian Centre for Digital Innovation?
(3) Was the centre established
through a public–private partnership?
(4) If yes to (3), what are the
obligations and rights of each of the parties?

I thank the member for some notice of this question.
(1) Five
hundred and twenty thousand dollars was provided by the previous Labor
Government in 2008 to the City of Bunbury to assist in the development of a
data warehouse at the City of Bunbury public library. An additional $125 000
was made available in 2009 to assist the City of Bunbury in fit-out of a digital
laboratory space at the city library.
(2) Vue Group
has employed 32 staff at various times since its establishment. A further seven
individuals have been engaged as subcontractors.
