948. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the parliamentary secretary representing the
Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to the answers to my
questions without notice 831 and 899.
(1) On what date
was the child whose whereabouts was unknown for 84 days as at 31 August and had
yet to be located on 26 October 2021 found?
(2) For what
period of time has the child referred to in part (5) of the answer to question
without notice 899 been recorded with an ''unknown'' status
pertaining to their whereabouts?
(3) Further to (2), on what date did
the department lodge a missing persons report with WA police?

I thank the member for some notice
of the question and provide the following answer on behalf of the Minister for
Child Protection.
(1) It was on 6 November 2021.
(2) As of 11 November 2021, it was 259 days.
Communities continued to have intermittent contact with this child.
(3) Providing
this date could identify the young person as a child in care; however, the
minister has indicated that this information could be provided to the member
directly.
