(i) Regional Infrastructure Funding Program (RIFP) provides financial assistance of between $100,000 and $5 million for major capital infrastructure projects that will assist in attracting investment and increasing jobs in regional areas or to improve the access of regional communities to services; (ii) Western Australian Regional Initiatives Scheme (WARIS) provides financial assistance of between $5,000 and $250,000 for non-capital works projects designed to deliver benefits across more than one region; (iii) Regional Development Scheme (RDS) provides financial assistance of up to $150,000 for a mix of capital works projects and other projects which may include feasibility studies, regional and local marketing programs as well as festivals and events. Each of the nine Regional Development Commissions administer its own RDS scheme; (iv) Regional Headworks Program (RHP) provides financial assistance of between $5,000 to $200,000 for projects involving the connection to providers of the essential services of water, electricity, telecommunications, gas, drainage and sewerage; and (v) Indigenous Regional Development Program (IRDP) provides financial assistance of between $10,000 to $500,000 for projects that assist in strengthening the governance, confidence, economic capacity and sustainability of Indigenous communities.
