(ii) Staff at Harvey Mobile Dental Therapy Centre and Amaroo (Collie) Dental Therapy Centre and Bridgetown Mobile Dental Therapy Centre are relocating at the end of 2007, and replacement staff in 2008 are pending confirmation. The use of Perth-based staff will be considered to address any shortfall as resources permit, should either of the clinics be affected by a staff vacancy.
Note: The Department of Health is currently developing a plan addressing the important issue of the WA public dental work force.

(ii) Harvey Mobile Dental Therapy Centre is currently closed for the balance of 2007 due to vandalism. The mobile dental therapy centre will also be closed for the first half of 2008 and reopen at that time when a recently graduated school dental therapist is anticipated to commence. Any impact will be minimal as most children attending the mobile clinic enjoy good oral health and will not be affected by an extended recall period. Should children have poorer oral health, they are able to access emergency dental care at other school dental service therapy centres or public dental clinics / Country Patients' Dental Subsidy Scheme (CPDSS) practices if their parent holds a Health Care Card / Pensioner Concession Card.

Harvey Mobile Dental Therapy Centre will be closed until July 2008. It is anticipated that a recently graduated school dental therapist will be available at this time. The use of Perth based staff will also be considered as resources permit.
West Busselton Dental Therapy Centre is staffed, and is delivering full services. Recruitment for the second operator at the service in 2008 is progressing.
