SCHOOLS — CHILDREN WITH HARMFUL SEXUAL BEHAVIOURS
979. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Minister for Education and
Training:
I refer to the minister's
answer to my question without notice asked on 13 October 2022 that revealed, as
at the start of term 4, four alleged or convicted offenders continue to be at
the same school as their victims.
(1) Under the
protocol, has the department been informed that one or more of the charges laid
against the students has resulted in a conviction?
(2) If yes, will
the minister undertake to obtain a briefing about the full history of those
cases so that she can verify whether the protocol is either operating as
intended or in need of improvement?
