With regard to the State Government's compensation scheme for Stolen Wages, I ask -
(1) To assist applicants and community services supporting applicants, will the Minister table a list of the 'Government Native Welfare Settlements' relevant to this compensation?
(2) The compensation announcement indicates that successful applicants will receive up to $2000. Will the Minister confirm that all successful applicants will receive the full $2000, or otherwise table any guidelines to be used for determination of the level of compensation?
(3) Will there be funding available for community organisations to assist applicants with this process, as there was for REDRESS claims?
(4) Given the experience with REDRESS that many Aboriginal people sought to make claims after the closing date, and that marginalized community members are by definition less likely to hear about the scheme, will the Minister consider extending the closing date for the Stolen Wages Compensation to provide at least 12 months of government publicity, and to allow for a late application process?

(1) No. The Department of Indigenous Affairs will provide relevant information as part of the application process.
(2) All eligible applicants will receive up to $2,000, however, DIA anticipate a majority of eligible applicants will receive $2,000.
(3) No.
(4) It is not considered necessary to extend the application period at this stage given the simple application process.
