(3) Craftspeople continue to have access to timber resources through contracts of sale for feature grade sawlogs, minor production contracts for craftwood, and through regular auctions conducted by the Forest Products Commission. (4) The Forest Products Commission has conducted an initial survey which involved meeting with almost forty craftspeople, artisans and gallery owners throughout the south west and the metropolitan area. This survey served to scope the extent and diversity of the craftwood sector to assist the Commission in developing a new system to provide access to resources for craftspeople.
