1035. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Lands:
(1) Is the Minister
for Lands aware of the application from the Shire of Harvey to the Department
of Lands to transfer management of the Lake Preston day-use facility at Myalup
to the Department of Parks and Wildlife?
(2) Can the minister advise whether a decision has been made
and the outcome of the application?
(3) If no to (2), when will a decision likely be made?
(4) If the
proposal is approved, does the financial responsibility of the management shift
from the Shire of Harvey to the Department of Parks and Wildlife?

Department of Lands has received a submission from the Shire of Harvey
requesting that reserve 34745, Lake Preston day-use facility, be included in
the adjacent Yalgorup National Park reservation.
(2) The Shire
of Harvey, the Department of Parks and Wildlife and the Department of Lands
support the change in management subject to statutory requirements under the
Land Administration Act 1997 being completed.
(3) Please refer to (2).
