MENTAL
HEALTH SERVICES PLAN
988. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the
Minister for Mental Health:
(1) Has the minister received a final copy of the 10-year
Mental Health Services Plan?
(2) If yes to
(1), when does the minister anticipate that the final report will be released
for public consultation?

(1)–(2)
No; the copy that I received on Friday, which I have not yet read because I
have been focused on the Mental Health Bill these last few days, is not the
final copy; it is still a draft. I will look at that as soon as I can turn my
mind away from the Mental Health Bill. As I have indicated before, the process
is that it then has to get support and agreement from government. There is then
a process of community and stakeholder consultation while it is in its draft
form. The feedback that comes from that process will feed into the final plan.
