I refer to the Upper Collie Water Allocation Plan (August 2009) and the Minister's answers to Questions on Notice 5266, answered 11 May 2016, and I ask: (a) why has there been no pool supplementation in the South Branch of the Collie River since 2007, despite the August 2009 plan recommending pool supplementation in this part of the river; (b) is there any intention to revisit pool supplementation in the South Branch of the Collie River; (c) will the Minister provide documentary evidence showing that environmental flows from Harris Dam have not been reduced; and (d) can the Minister advise if any water from Harris Dam has at any stage been transferred to the Worsley Alumina Refinery for its use, and if yes: (i) in what quantities; and (ii) in what years has this occurred?

(a) Although the August 2009 plan supports pool supplementation at Cardiff town pool for social amenity, information collated after the cessation of coal mining and reduced groundwater abstraction rates within the Cardiff sub-area indicated that natural flows were sufficient to support pool levels and ecological values in the ephemeral pools of the Collie River South Branch at a low level of risk. (b) No (c) No (d) Yes (i)–(ii)2001/02 – approximately 1000 megalitres 2010/11 – 991 megalitres 2015/16 – 2950 megalitres
