With regard to the Straits Salt Pty Ltd proposal for 10 000 hectares of evaporative saltpans in an area potentially to be included in the proposed Ningaloo World Heritage area, I ask - (1) Has anything been done since my question without notice 2941 on 3 June 2004 to advance the proposal for the creation of a fish habitat protection area in that same location? (2) If yes to (1), what has been done? (3) If no to (1), why not? (4) In any event, when will the proposed fish habitat protection area for that location be created? Hon JON FORD
