(1) $446.40.
(2) Ms Nicola Smith.
(3) Perth Zoo closely manages its debtors and consequently bad debts are kept at a minimum.
Department of Environment and Conservation; Swan River Trust
(1) The Department of Environment and Conservation wrote off three bad debts incurred between 1 July 2006 and 30 June 2007, amounting to $14,990.59.
(2) Bad debts were written off for Whittakers Ltd, M S and C B Karafilis and a defunct Dymocks franchisee.
(3) The department has an ongoing strategy for managing debtors. Business managers within the various Divisions of the department and the central Financial Services Branch follow up debtors for overdue payments. Initial contact is by telephone and if payments are still outstanding, this is followed up with written requests. Legal action is undertaken when appropriate.
