EDUCATION — PARENT LIAISON OFFICE
857. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Minister for Education and
Training:
I refer to an article in The West
Australian of 30 August 2022 titled ''Perth teachers leaving
profession due to 'threatening, pushy parents' says WA Primary
Principals Association'', and the minister's comments that a parent
liaison office has been established to support the resolution of complaints
from parents and carers. Can the minister provide a breakdown of staffing
positions, by headcount and FTE, that are currently employed within the parent
liaison office?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
The
parent liaison office draws on staff throughout the department and regional
offices as required. Headcount and FTE for the following positions:
manager, parent liaison; parent liaison coordinator; and administration support
officer, is one for each.
