MOUNT LAWLEY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL — COMPUTERS
128. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
Minister for Education:
(1) Why do
year 8 and 9 students who have a timetabled computer class at Mount Lawley
Senior High School not have access to computers in their classroom?
(2) Are there
any plans to fix the 30 broken computers being held in storage so that the 500
year 8 and 9 students can have access to a computer; and, if not, why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) There have
been issues with recovering computers from exiting students and the situation
has been compounded by a large backlog of repairs under warranty.
(2) The school
is employing extra staff to expedite the repairs.
