(2) The Minister for Education met with Mr John Levitzke, Executive Director, WA Deaf Society, on 13 December 2001. The Minister has deferred all decisions regarding future funding for the WA Deaf Society until he has met with the Board of Management, WA Foundation for Deaf Children (Inc) to discuss its future. The Board of Management has written to the Minister's Office to request a meeting.
