I refer to the Government announcement to re-open country police stations at Dumbleyung, Cranbrook and Wikepin and ask:
(a) what staffing levels will exist for each of these stations;
(b) what amount has been budgeted for the costs associated with re-opening these stations;
(c) what is the breakdown of those costs;
(d) where will staff be sourced for those stations; and
(e) what stations have been earmarked to lose staff and provide numbers and details of the same?

(a) Western Australia Police advises that due to operational sensitivities, specific information relating to staffing levels of individual police stations is not released. Resources are principally allocated at a District level and District Superintendents deploy these resources within their District to provide the best possible policing service to meet operational requirements and the varying needs of the community. The numbers of FTE will be the same as was deployed in Dumbleyung, Cranbrook and Wickepin prior to the re-alignment of police stations.
(b) $2 million per annum has been allocated by Government to recommence operations at these police stations.
(c) A precise breakdown of costs cannot be provided at this stage. The allocated funding will be used to re-instate the police station for operational readiness and will include fixed assets, equipment and other required resources.
(d) The FTEs will be sourced from within the Great Southern District's FTE allocation.
(e) See answers to question (a) and (d).
