CORRUPTION
AND CRIME COMMISSION AMENDMENT BILL 2012 — GOVERNMENT'S
LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES
511. Mrs M.H. ROBERTS to the Leader of the House:
I ask a supplementary question. Does the Leader of the House
concede that the member for Hillarys has sounded the death knell on this
fatally flawed legislation?

AnswerView source ↗

I think the opposition should ask questions on that subject
of the Premier. The Premier is responsible for the legislation.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : One
person has asked the question and one person is answering it. I would like to
hear the person answering it.
Dr K.D. HAMES :
People said that I should be earning my keep. I am fairly certain that I do not
get paid as Leader of the House. I do get paid as Deputy Premier. In that role,
I invite members to ask me any question they like in my role as Deputy Premier.
The answer to the question is that we have not decided. I cannot say that it
sounds a death knell. That will be up to the person in this house who has
responsibility for that legislation, someone whom the member for Midland is
free to ask the question of at any time she likes.
