PRICE — TREASURY ADVICE
897. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
minister representing the Treasurer:
(1) Did Treasury provide advice to the Treasurer on a price
range for iron ore for the 2014–15 budget?
(2) If yes,
what was the price range that Treasury provided to the Treasurer's
office for preparation of the budget?
(3) How was the final price that was used for the budget
forecasts decided upon?
(4) Will the
Treasurer release the advice regarding the iron ore price for the 2014–15
budget that Treasury provided; and, if not, why not?

(3) The price
assumptions provided in the 2014–15 budget were in accordance with the
iron ore price forecasting methodology outlined in detail in the text box on
pages 108–110 of budget paper No 3 in the 2013–14 budget.
