Perth Children's Hospital—Neonatal beds and
facilities
699. Ms Libby Mettam to
the Premier:
I have a
supplementary question. Is the Premier still committed to the new neonatal beds
at Perth Children's Hospital, and, if so, when will we see that commitment
given the business case was received by the Premier this year?

AnswerView source ↗

We are always
considering how we can expand our health system to meet the needs of the
growing Western Australian population. That is one of the reasons we have seen
a huge expansion of our regional hospital networks at Bunbury, with the biggest
regional hospital development in the state's history; the $188 million redevelopment
of Geraldton Hospital; and the development of new beds at Albany Hospital. We
continue to work as hard as we can on even smaller hospitals like Paraburdoo
Hospital, Tom Price Hospital and Mullewa Hospital. All these hospitals are an
important part of that overall network to ensure that every Western Australian
gets the health care they need when they need it.
The Speaker: That concludes question time.
