MULTIPURPOSE TAXIS - SERVICE PERFORMANCE 1222. Hon SIMON O’BRIEN to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure: I hope my microphone is working. Further to my question without notice asked on Wednesday, 28 November about taxi dispatch services for multipurpose taxis, I ask - (1) Is it the Carpenter government’s policy to prevent other companies wishing to operate as taxi dispatch services from doing so? (2) Why? Hon ADELE FARINA

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1)-(2) No. However, we are of the view that the service cannot be successfully fragmented across three operations. If the member is aware of an entity that wishes to be involved in delivering these services, we would be happy to meet with it.
