(1) When and how did you become aware that the development approval for Guildford Hotel, due to expire next month, has been extended to June next year? (2) Given that the Hotel has been exposed for another winter, will you ask the Heritage Council to order a comprehensive and independent structural report on the state of the building? (3) Given the owners have had more than ample opportunity to progress development do you now concede it is time to for you to act and place a conservation order on the building?

(1) Advice from the City of Swan provided to me by the State Heritage Office is that the City's development approval for the conservation and development of the Guildford Hotel site expires on 13 June 2014. This is two years from the date on which the City's council resolved to approve amended conditions to its approval previously issued in November 2011 as a result of a State Administrative Tribunal mediation process with the owners.
