(1) The relevant database developed and maintained by the Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) is designed to monitor current environmental obligations. Proponents are released from bond obligations on a progressive basis as compliance is achieved following each stage of mining. Therefore the information sought is not readily available.
(2) - (4) The database does not track this information.
Because this information is not readily available significant work would be required by DMP and cannot practically be delivered without adversely impacting on day-to-day operations.
(5) No.
(6) Annual environmental reports may only be made available with the consent of the tenement holder or through the provisions of the
Freedom of Information Act 1992
to safeguard information that may be commercially sensitive.
