(1) Is the Department currently developing guidelines for requests for extensions of schooling for children with disabilities?
(2) If yes to (1), when will the guidelines be finalised?
(3) What is happening to applications for extensions for schooling received for the 2007 school year?
(4) How many applications have been received for the 2007 school year?
(5) When will parents be notified of success or failure of their application?
(1) Yes
(2) Guidelines were completed on 6 October 2006
(3) Appeals to extend enrolment beyond the year in which a student turns 18 are to be directed to the Office of the Deputy Director, Schools
(4) Eight
(5) Mid November 2006.
