1513. Hon PETER COLLIER to
the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to the allegations of
corruption against Mr Paul Whyte, former senior public servant of the
Department of Communities.
(1) Whilst Mr
Addis was employed by the Warmun community, did he have any contact with Mr
Whyte and Mr Searle?
(2) If yes to
(1), what was the nature of the contact?
(3) Whilst Mr
Addis was in the employment of Stellar Corporate Solutions, did he have any
contact with Mr Whyte and Mr Searle?
(4) If yes to
(3), what was the nature of the contact?

I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
(1) During the period he was employed by the Warmun
community, Mr Addis did not have contact with Mr Whyte or Mr Searle via
his role as an employee of Warmun community. However, during this period, he
did have contact with Mr Searle via his role as chair of the Kimberley
Development Commission.
(2) The contact
was of a professional nature in relation to regional housing and the
transitional housing initiative. He did not have contact with Mr Whyte during
that period.
(3) During the
period he was employed by Stellar Corporate Solutions, Mr Addis had contact
with Mr Searle via his employment with Stellar.
(4) The contact was of a professional nature in
relation to a work contract between the Department of Housing and
Stellar to document the Warmun community flood and reconstruction. He did not
have contact with Mr Whyte during this period.
