CANNABIS, WORKING PARTY’S REPORT
In relation to the ministerial working party on cannabis laws I ask - (1) Why is the minister now unable to say whether the working party’s report will be made public when he previously committed to making it public? I refer to the answer to question without notice 968 of Wednesday, 19 December 2001. (2) The minister advised this House in response to my question of Wednesday, 19 December that the terms of reference for the working party were still being finalised. In response to my question of Thursday, 20 December, the minister advised that the working party had been instructed to report back on the terms of reference. As the working party is due to report this week, have the terms of reference or instructions been framed yet? If so, what are they? Hon KEN TRAVERS

The terms of reference were confirmed by the ministerial working party on 20 December. I table the terms of reference for the ministerial working party on drug law reform. [See paper No 1322.]
