I refer to a letter dated October 16 2003 signed by Mr Jim Limerick, Director General Department of Industry and Resources addressed to Mr S. Kean -
(1) Did Mr Bill Phillips, Mr Bill Biggs or some other officer within the department prepare the letter dated October 16 2003 before it was signed by the Director General?
(2) If yes to (1), what was the name(s) and the positions within the department who helped prepare this letter?
(3) In the last three years prior to October 16 2003 has Mr Bill Phillips made any derogatory, insulting comments/statements either verbally or in writing concerning Mr S. Kean or Mr R. Kean to any person?
(4) If yes to (3), can the Minister quote the specific text of those comments or statements made by Mr Phillips and state the reasons and justification as to why they were made?
(5) In the last six years prior to October 16 2003 has Mr Bill Biggs made any derogatory, insulting comments/statements either verbally or in writing concerning Mr S. Kean or Mr R. Kean to any person?
(6) If yes to (5), can the Minister quote the specific text of those comments or statements made by Mr Bill Biggs and state the reasons and justification as to why they were made?
(7) Can the Minister state how the letter dated October 16 2003 signed by the Director General was researched to factually make the statements made in the letter?
(8) If no to (7), why not?
(9) In relation to Mr Kean’s letters dated September 23 2003, May 6 2003 and March 13 2003 addressed to the Director General can the Minister explain why the Director General has not asked the State Mining Engineer to confer with Mr Tony Cooke in relation to all of these letters and issues raised and simply refer all of these letters to the State Mining Engineer requesting that he investigate all of Mr Kean’s evidence which includes reports, documents, correspondence and onsite visual evidence supporting current breaches of the
Mining Act 1978
and Regulations in Kalgoorlie with Mr Tony Cooke also present?
