(1) - (4) The Department of Housing and Works employs interpreters on a fee for service contract through the Translating and Interpreting Services provided by the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs. Interpreting services are offered in 6 different languages at Mirrabooka, Fremantle, Cannington and Bentley offices for two hours at a time on various days of the week. At other times or at other locations where there are no on site interpreters, the department uses the telephone interpreter service. The interpreting of languages is reviewed quarterly including where and when the service is to be provided. The cost of the service $141.05 for 90 minutes.
