AMENDMENTS
858. Mr M. McGOWAN to the Premier:
I refer to criticisms by the former
Minister for Child Protection Robyn McSweeney and the former Minister for Police the member for Hillarys concerning the
Attorney General's idleness in bringing in much-needed dangerous sex
offender legislation amendments.
(1) Will the Premier commit to
releasing the review into the Dangerous Sexual Offenders Act today?
(2) Why has he failed to introduce
the laws that he promised more than a year ago?

(1)–(2) Yes,
the amendments to the dangerous sex offender legislation will be introduced
into Parliament before the end of this year. We will do that. It has taken
longer than we would have anticipated.
