I refer to the fact that former detective Tony Lewandowski indicated to the Royal Commission Into Whether There Has Been Any Corrupt or Criminal Conduct by Western Australian Police Officers, as detailed on page 28 of the royal commission transcript which has not yet been released, that former Assistant Police Commissioner Bob Kucera, and now Gallop government minister, may have been conned by Don Hancock into perjuring himself during the 1998 Mickelberg appeal. Given these extremely serious allegations made against a minister in the Premier’s cabinet, will the Premier now undertake to table the police royal commission transcript of the Lewandowski interview; and, if not, why not? We asked Mr Geoffrey Kennedy, a very eminent judge in Western Australia, to conduct a royal commission. It was his job to sift through all of the evidence and to come up with findings and recommendations on this matter. He is a man of the utmost eminence, a man whom the whole community trusts on these issues, and I support the findings that he made about all of the issues.
