1. Source: Hospital Morbidity Data System (HMDS) and Emergency Department Data Collection (EDDC) as at 18 March 2011.
2. Data includes inter-hospital transfers for the following:
a. Mental health patients from a designated Mental Health Unit transferred for treatment of a non-mental heath condition (for example, a surgical procedure).
b. Planned transfers to specialist statewide services.
c. Public patients transferred between both public and private hospitals.
d. Admitted patients with a primary mental health diagnosis or self-inflicted injury.
e. Emergency Department (ED) attendances for patients with a mental health flag on the ED information system.
3. Data is reported by financial year as HMDS data is not complete for 2010.
4. Data cannot be compared to that reported for PQ 1684 due to the changes in the standard reporting of ED attendances and the inclusion of Peel Health Campus.
