(1) I refer to a letter in the
Kalgoorlie Miner
on 10 August 2001 entitled ‘Fields Needs DEP Office' and ask when will a decision be made on whether the Goldfields office of the former Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will be retained or closed?
(2) What license fees are paid by Goldfields industries to environmental protection agencies with Government?
(3) What types of licenses are required under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and how much money was collected as license fees over each of the last 3 years?
(4) If the former DEP office is to be closed, will license and other fees paid by Goldfields Industries be reduced to take account of the reduction in services provided to them?
