I refer to the metropolitan Child
Development Service.
(1) Has
additional funding been provided in the 2023–24 state budget to address
the wait times currently being experienced to access services through the MCDS?
(2) If yes to (1), how much
additional funding has the service been allocated?
(3) If no to (1), why not?

I thank the honourable member for some
notice of the question.
(1)–(3) The
McGowan government has invested an additional $406.4 million in non-hospital
services in the 2023–24 state budget. The government is looking forward
to considering the recommendations of the Select Committee into Child
Development Services when its report is tabled.
