representing the Minister for Mental Health:
I refer to mental health services in
the great southern, including staff levels and wait times.
(1) How many Medicare-registered
psychiatrists and psychologists are there in —
(a) Albany;
(b) Denmark;
(c) Katanning;
(d) Kojonup;
(e) Gnowangerup; and
(f) Mount Barker?
(2) What is the average wait time for a psychiatrist
consultation and for a psychologist consultation in Albany?
(3) Are there any
known instances of qualified counsellors taking appointments when a psychiatrist
or psychologist has not been available?

I point out that in respect of part (3) of that question, it is unreasonable to
expect that kind of detail to be provided within four hours. The minister's
answer is that an answer will be provided on 15 September 2022.
