(1) What key performance indicators did the previous minister set in place for the director general? (2) Has the minister established any new key performance indicators for the director general? I thank the Leader of the Opposition for this question. (1)-(3) As the Leader of the Opposition is well aware, the salary of the director general is determined by the Salaries and Allowances Tribunal. He should know that but obviously he does not. Clearly, the director general has a critical role. My task is to make sure that the department’s head, the director general, Jane Brazier, continues to implement and oversee this government’s policies and practices within that department. I have reviewed and will continue to consistently review the director general’s responsibilities and performance indicators. During that process I will ensure that she continues to perform and is accountable to those practices.
