of 3-4 March 2012, 30 June-1 July 2012 and 14-15 July 2012, and ask —
(1) Has this position now been filled?
(2) Will any specific training be offered to the successful applicant?
(3) How many applications were received?
(4) How many applicants were interviewed for the position?
(5) As at 1 August 2012 —
(a) how many full time equivalent employees conduct the Best Beginnings program across the State;
(b) where are the Best Beginnings service sites in the State; and
(c) how many active Best Beginnings cases were there across the State?
(6) What was the total amount spent on the Best Beginnings program in —
(a) 2010-11;
(b) 2011-12; and
(c) what were these amounts as percentages of the total budgets for the Department of Child Protection?

(1) The Best Beginnings Officer has not been filled at this stage. The most recent advertising for the vacancy closed on Monday 23 July 2012.
(2) A specific 5 day Best Beginnings training program will be provided to the successful candidate. Senior Practice Development Officers and the Responsible Parenting Services Team Leader will also provide practice development and guidance to the successful candidate.

(5) (a) The Department of Health deliver the Best Beginnings service in partnership with the Department for Child Protection (the Department) and dedicate staff to the delivery of the service. For the Department, as at 1 August 2012, there were 22.9 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) employees occupying Best Beginning Positions across the State.
