I ask this question on behalf of Hon Robyn McSweeney. I refer to an article in The West Australian of Saturday 25 August, which refers to new police stations to be built. The article mentions Bridgetown Police Station as one station that has been earmarked for priority replacement. The article goes on to say that this is part of a 10-year capital works plan. In line with government policy, WA Police has developed a 10-year capital investment program that is designed to meet statewide priorities and budget approvals. The unfunded 10-year capital investment plan is currently being reviewed for the 2008-09 budget submission and includes a proposal for the replacement of Bridgetown Police Station.
