(1) The Ministry for Planning’s support for a special control area for land within and surrounding the Murrayfield Airpark is dependent upon further investigations being undertaken by the ministry, in consultation with other relevant government agencies, the owners of the Murrayfield Airpark and the surrounding landowners, in order to determine an appropriate special control area of the airpark. (2) There is a need to undertake further investigations and consultations on the special control area proposal, including investigations to determine what areas surrounding the airpark would be significantly affected by noise as a result of further aircraft operations from the airpark. (3) After the Peel region scheme has been finalised. (4) No timetable has been determined for the incorporation of such a special control area into the Peel region scheme.
