(a) The Regional Collocation Scheme is an application-based program. Funding requests are assessed on their merits. Funding allocations to applicants depend on a range of factors, including the amount of available funding from other sources and the number of collocated services that are involved in regional economic or community development. At this stage, no formal applications have been lodged by communities in the North West, being the Gascoyne, Pilbara and Kimberley. However, I have been advised that approximately thirteen communities in the North West have expressed interest in the program and/or are in the process of preparing applications.
