CORRECTIVE SERVICES — DEATHS IN CUSTODY
696. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Minister for Corrective Services:
I have a supplementary question.
Minister, the second part of my question does not at all pertain to an inquiry;
it is about the level of information provided to the family in the aftermath. I
ask again: will the minister commit to improving communication and information
sharing with families following such incidents?

AnswerView source ↗

I
will just repeat what I said. This incident is a tragedy. Any death in custody
is subject to a coronial inquest. It is not appropriate that the member
ask me about those sorts of things. It is also definitely not appropriate that
I respond.
