KPMG integrity breaches—Public servants—Confidential data
518. Hon Tim Clifford to
the Leader of the House representing the Premier:
What measures are in
place to ensure that 35,000-plus employees in the WA public sector can be
assured that their personal workplace data, which KPMG will have access to for
the recent tenders for leadership training, will not be used or sold by an
organisation that is currently under investigation by the Australian Securities
and Investments Commission for allegedly using confidential data for its own
purposes?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following answer is
provided on behalf of the Premier.
KPMG is under a
bespoke services contract that restricts the use or disclosure of data outside
of the scope of the Skills Academy. KPMG has advised the Public Sector
Commissioner that no individuals associated with the alleged KPMG integrity
breaches have been involved in the Skills Academy or any other Western
Australian Government contracts.
