(1) I refer to Question without Notice No. 56 regarding the Perth Waterfront Project, and ask further, given that the Statue of Liberty precinct gets 3.5 million visitors annually, will the Minister please explain the modelling and/or methodology used to arrive at an estimated nine million annual visitors to the Perth Waterfront?
(2) Will the Minister table the documents used to determine this number of visitors and, if not, why not?

(1) The previous 9million annual visitor statistic referenced multiple visitations in the same day. A revision of the information had previously re-evaluated the total estimated visitors to Perth Waterfront as 4.3million per annum.
The Statue of Liberty is a geographically isolated attraction which requires visitors to travel by boat to access it.
Elizabeth Quay will have multiple functions including office accommodation, retail facilities, restaurants, bars and cafes as well as public spaces. The 4.3million visits relates to multiple entries and exits to the precinct by users, meaning that visitors could carry out several functions (e.g. dining and shopping) during one visit. It also refers to visitors who could visit many times annually (but not on the same day).
In comparison, Kings Park is currently the city's most visited place, with 5.2 million visits per annum. Federation Square in Melbourne has approximately 8.4 million visits per annum, Sydney's Darling Harbour has approximately 27.5 million visits per annum and The Rocks has approximately 13.7 million visits per annum.
(2) No, this information is not required to be tabled in Parliament.
