(1) The 2003-04 Western Australia (WA) Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) has been delayed, with a new release date yet to be confirmed. However, an updated 2005-06 WA TSA is scheduled to be released in October 2007.
(2) Due to backdated methodological changes in the Australian Bureau of Statistics' (ABS) recently released 2005-06 National TSA, the methodology on which the 2003-04 WA TSA was based has become redundant. This has resulted in the provider of this report (the Sustainable Tourism Cooperative Research Centre) delaying its public release until these methodological differences can be fully understood and resolved. In the meantime, Tourism Western Australia has commissioned Access Economics (the provider of the 2000-01 WA TSA) to produce an updated 2005-06 WA TSA. The results of this, along with revisions to the original 2001-02 WA TSA will be available in September 2007.
