representing the Minister for Mines and Petroleum:
(1) How many
applications have been made to the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and
Safety for geotechnical drilling in the Shire of Collie during the period 1 January
2022 to 8 August 2023?
(2) In each case in part (1), who
was the applicant and for what purpose was the application made?
(3) Which of the applications in
part (1) were approved?
(4) Which of the applications in
part (1) were refused?
(5) Which of the applications in
part (1) are yet to be processed?

question. The following response has been provided by the Minister for Mines
and Petroleum.
(1)–(5) Information
of this nature exists in the department's environment assessment and
regulatory system, however not in a format that allows for a ready response to
this question. The provision of this information involves extracting raw
information and requires analysis of each application, which cannot be
completed in the time allocated. It is requested that the question be placed on
notice to allow sufficient time to gather the information.
