(iii) All new vehicles leased for site purposes are fitted with the following accessories: spotlights, automatic lights, safety triangles, hi vis vest, first aid kit, canvas seat covers, bullbar, fire extinguisher, tow pack, Anderson plug, tonneau or canvas cover, at a total cost is $6,224.91 per vehicle.
(iv) Vehicles were procured external to the state fleet arrangement because Synergy is not bound by the Public Sector Management Act 1994 and as such, the State Fleet Policy does not apply to Synergy.

Western Power
a) Yes. As a government trading entity incorporated under the
Electricity Corporations Act 2005
(ECA) Western Power does not receive status, immunities or privileges of the State (see section 5 of the Act) and is not part of the public sector (see section 6 of the Act). Accordingly, Western Power does not procure any of its vehicles through State Fleet arrangements.
(i) Set out in the tables below are the make, model and number (as at 1 July 2017) of the: - Western Power light fleet vehicles which it has leased (Table 1) - Western Power light fleet vehicles which it owns (Table 2) - Western Power heavy fleet vehicles which it owns (Table 3) Note: Western Power does not have any heavy fleet vehicles which are leased.
It’s not practical to provide the cost of each individual vehicle, however tables 2 & 3 contain the total book value of Western Power-owned vehicles. The light fleet has reduced by about 300 vehicles over the past two years. Providing the value of individual leased vehicles, and the value of the leased light fleet contract is ‘commercial in confidence’.

(ii) As at 1 July 2017, the light fleet comprised 873 vehicles of which 832 were registered with Western Power (WPC) plates, the remaining 41 were private plated. Of the 753 heavy fleet assets listed, 664 are WPC plated, 39 Private and 50 not registered. Note that in the heavy fleet count a truck/EWP (vehicle/plant) combination has been counted as one asset. (iii) Yes, Western Power’s vehicles have additional fittings to enable them to perform their operational roles. Larger fit out items may include tow-bars, bull-bars and winches when required for operational purposes. Given the volume of vehicles in the entire fleet, it is not practical to provide the cost of each individual fitting as this would not be appropriate use of Government resources. (iv) All general government agencies are required to lease vehicles through State Fleet. The Insurance Commission is a Government Trading Enterprise and is not obliged to lease vehicles through State Fleet. Contracts for senior staff provide for a proportion of remuneration to be contributed for the use of a vehicle. The Insurance Commission purchases these vehicles. Purchased vehicles are traded-in on vehicle replacement. The Insurance Commission considers it more cost effective to purchase vehicles rather than lease them. (b) Two.

(iii) All new vehicles leased for site purposes are fitted with the following accessories: spotlights, automatic lights, safety triangles, hi vis vest, first aid kit, canvas seat covers, bullbar, fire extinguisher, tow pack, Anderson plug, tonneau or canvas cover, at a total cost is $6,224.91 per vehicle.
(iv) Vehicles were procured external to the state fleet arrangement because Synergy is not bound by the Public Sector Management Act 1994 and as such, the State Fleet Policy does not apply to Synergy.

Western Power
a) Yes. As a government trading entity incorporated under the
Electricity Corporations Act 2005
(ECA) Western Power does not receive status, immunities or privileges of the State (see section 5 of the Act) and is not part of the public sector (see section 6 of the Act). Accordingly, Western Power does not procure any of its vehicles through State Fleet arrangements.
(i) Set out in the tables below are the make, model and number (as at 1 July 2017) of the: - Western Power light fleet vehicles which it has leased (Table 1) - Western Power light fleet vehicles which it owns (Table 2) - Western Power heavy fleet vehicles which it owns (Table 3) Note: Western Power does not have any heavy fleet vehicles which are leased.
It’s not practical to provide the cost of each individual vehicle, however tables 2 & 3 contain the total book value of Western Power-owned vehicles. The light fleet has reduced by about 300 vehicles over the past two years. Providing the value of individual leased vehicles, and the value of the leased light fleet contract is ‘commercial in confidence’.

(ii) As at 1 July 2017, the light fleet comprised 873 vehicles of which 832 were registered with Western Power (WPC) plates, the remaining 41 were private plated. Of the 753 heavy fleet assets listed, 664 are WPC plated, 39 Private and 50 not registered. Note that in the heavy fleet count a truck/EWP (vehicle/plant) combination has been counted as one asset. (iii) Yes, Western Power’s vehicles have additional fittings to enable them to perform their operational roles. Larger fit out items may include tow-bars, bull-bars and winches when required for operational purposes. Given the volume of vehicles in the entire fleet, it is not practical to provide the cost of each individual fitting as this would not be appropriate use of Government resources. The Insurance Commission is a Government Trading Enterprise and is not obliged to lease vehicles through State Fleet. Contracts for senior staff provide for a proportion of remuneration to be contributed for the use of a vehicle. The Insurance Commission purchases these vehicles. Purchased vehicles are traded-in on vehicle replacement. The Insurance Commission considers it more cost effective to purchase vehicles rather than lease them. (b) Two.
