The Minister received a report on the business case in Derby last week as she inspected the wharf. The report is a result of the Ministerial Working Group established by the Minister and chaired by the President of the Shire of Derby / West Kimberley to evaluate the merits of, and investigate opportunities for funding assistance for the project. Government is now considering the report. In the interim, modelling work and conceptual designs on the proposed boat ramp and associated breakwaters is being undertaken by the Shire of Derby / West Kimberley. The State Government has contributed funds for these interim works. (4) - (6) With respect to the wharf at Wyndham Port, total funding of $2.1 Million has been provided in the 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 financial years for repairs and upgrades.
