minister representing the Treasurer:
I refer to the
answer to question on notice 3402, in which the minister outlined that there
are currently five ongoing contractual disputes between John Holland and its
subcontractors, and the answer to question without notice 1282 in which the
minister stated that all of John Holland's subcontractors have been
properly paid under their subcontract terms, including in respect of
variations.
(1) Are all five of
the disputes referred to in the answer to question 3402 still ongoing?
(2) Have there been any more disputes
between John Holland and its subcontractors since 13 October 2015?
(3) If all of John Holland's
subcontractors have been properly paid under their subcontract terms, including
in respect of variations, can the Treasurer please outline the nature of the
disputes occurring between John Holland and its subcontractors?

(1) Three of the disputes referred to in the
response to question on notice 3402 have been resolved; two of the five are
ongoing.
(2) John Holland Pty Ltd has advised that
two further disputes with its subcontractors have arisen since 13 October 2015.
(3) Consistent with previous advice, the
details of these disputes will not be disclosed, as each of the matters is
subject to ongoing, confidential dispute resolution processes involving the
contracting parties to the relevant subcontracts, and disclosure has the
potential to adversely impact on those dispute resolution processes.
