Notes:
In the WA public health system, staff are paid under numerous awards, each prescribing a different pay structure and level. No single hierarchical structure exists which can be used to group individuals at the same level. The response to this Parliamentary Question groups staff by GOSAC salary levels and provides an appropriate and consistent classification mechanism. This grouping is consistent with current statutory whole of government reporting framework and includes all award payments to medical, nursing and administrative employees.
Permanent employment has been defined to include full time and part time employees.
Non-permanent employees are those who are engaged for a set period or do not have an ongoing employment arrangement (i.e. casuals).
Employees who were acting for more than 90 days were used in calculating the response to part (e) of this question.
